The DECKMA HAMBURG GmbH OMD-2005 Measuring Cell is an optical measuring unit made just for the OMD-2005 15 ppm bilge alarm oil content monitor. It comes with factory calibration and a certificate that shows it meets maritime pollution control standards.
The OMD-2005 Measuring Cell is a tough sensor module that has been factory-calibrated and uses a scattered light optical principle to find oil-in-water concentration. It is made to be a replaceable cell that has its own calibration data recorded on it. This way, the alarm system may be easily brought back into full compliance by changing simply the cell instead of the whole monitor. The cell is made of anodised aluminium and has stainless steel inlet and outlet blocks. It is designed to work well in tough marine situations and for continuous bilge water monitoring. When used with the OMD-2005 computer unit, it is the main part of a 15 ppm bilge alarm that meets IMO MEPC.107(49) standards.
