Expert Tip 1: Frequency Inverter Calibration:

Never connect this motor directly to the mains power. It must be operated via a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). Ensure your VFD’s V/f curve is accurately programmed to match the HSD nameplate settings—failing to do so can lead to immediate stator burnout.

Expert Tip 2: Thermal Management in Slow Passes:

If you are running the spindle at lower RPMs for specific materials, be aware that shaft-driven fans lose efficiency at lower speeds. For operations consistently under 10,000 RPM, we recommend verifying the temperature of the housing frequently or upgrading to the E-Fan (Electric Fan) variant for constant cooling.

Expert Tip 3: Collet & Nut Maintenance:

Replace your ER25 collets every 500–700 hours of operation. Even if they look fine, microscopic wear causes runout, which leads to tool chatter and premature bearing failure. Always clean the internal taper with a felt cone before inserting a new tool.
