Description

MAN B&W L58/64 Diesel Engine Generator Set

The MAN B&W L58/64 diesel engine generator set has a strong 580 mm bore and 640 mm stroke design that makes it reliable for both maritime and stationary use. This turbocharged, four-stroke engine works best with heavy fuel, producing low emissions and good efficiency.

The MAN B&W L58/64 series is a well-known line of in-line, four-stroke diesel engines that work well in tough conditions for generator sets. The generators can have 6L to 9L cylinders and make between 7,860 and 11,790 kW at 400 rpm, with an average effective pressure of 23.2 bar. Built for heavy fuel oil (HFO) with a viscosity of up to 700 cSt at 50°C, it uses just 176 g/kWh of fuel and 0.8 g/kWh of lubricating oil.
