Description

The Wartsila W32 cylinder liner is an important part made for the high-performance Wärtsilä 32 series 4-stroke diesel engines, which are known for powering ships and generating electricity. Made from a particular grey cast iron alloy that is cast in a centrifuge, it is very strong, can handle high temperatures, and doesn’t wear down easily under pressures up to 22.9 bar MEP. It has an anti-polishing ring to stop carbon from building up on the pistons, which helps it last longer in tough offshore and vessel applications. The upper part is bore-cooled for the best management of the inner surface temperature.
