45RM4-1000 Flame Scanner IR Flame Detector

The Fireye 45RM4-1000 Flame Scanner is an infrared flame detector that checks itself. It is made to keep an eye on gas, oil, and coal-fired burners in industrial ovens and boilers all the time. It has a die-cast aluminum body with a lens, a solid-state lead sulfide IR detector, and frequency-tuned circuitry that correctly detects flames and tells the target flame from background radiation.

You can tune the scanner to the flame’s “flicker” frequency with a 16-position frequency selection. This makes it easier to find low-NOx, pulverized coal, and natural gas burners. The built-in 10-segment LED bargraph shows the strength of the flame signal in real time, which makes sighting, alignment, and commissioning easier.

The 45RM4-1000 works with Fireye flame safeguard controls that are compatible with it to provide automatic ignition supervision and flame failure protection for setups with one or more burners. An internal electronic shutter does constant self-checking, making sure that the scanner and signal circuits are checked while they are working and allowing for fail-safe shutdown in case of a problem.
