The GM International D5290S/SA is a 1-channel SIL 3 relay output module that may switch safety-related circuits in high-risk industrial settings. It uses a 24 VDC control input to drive high-power NE loads up to 10 A. It separates the input and output circuits with galvanic isolation and has separate NO power connections and a service NC contact to make sure that shutdown and maintenance are safe.
The D5290S/SA is a single-channel relay output module that can be safely installed in a safe location. It is meant to manage Normally Energized (NE) loads in functional safety loops up to SIL 3 according to IEC 61508. It has a nominal input of 24 VDC and strong relay contacts rated at 10 A at 250 VAC / 250 VDC, making it perfect for driving contactors, solenoids, alarms, and other power devices used in safety interlock (ESD), interlocking, and emergency shutdown (ESD) systems.
The module has one SPDT relay contact that gives a primary NO output and a service NC output. It also has an extra NO contact that lets you terminate the load on both supply lines for optimal safety.
