The KROHNE IFC 300 W CG30081100 is a high-performance 4-wire electromagnetic flow signal converter that can be installed on a wall. It is made for accurately measuring the volume flow of conductive liquids in tough industrial settings. This remote version works perfectly with OPTIFLUX, WATERFLUX, and other KROHNE flow sensors that are compatible. It does this through signal and field current cables, so it will work even in tough conditions like corrosive or abrasive fluids.
The KROHNE IFC 300 W has an accuracy of ±0.15% and advanced diagnostics according to NE 107. It also supports protocols like HART, Modbus, Profibus, and PROFINET for flexible integration. It works well in the mining, food and beverage, chemicals, and water/wastewater industries. It can handle low-conductivity fluids (≥5 µS/cm for most sensors), high particulates (up to 70%), and pulsing flows with the best zero stability. The IP67 housing, which can be made of polyamide or stainless steel, can be fixed on a wall and installed up to 600m away from the sensor. This reduces interference and makes the process more reliable.
IFC 300 W Technical Specs:

Approvals: ATEX/IECEx Ex, FM/CSA, OIML MID custody transfer, CE, NAMUR NE21/107.
Features:
-> Better measurement performance with built-in diagnostics for monitoring devices, sensors, and processes, such as coil temperature and conductivity.
-> Flexible I/O configuration: active and passive current outputs, pulse and frequency up to 10 kHz, and NAMUR-compliant status and control for strong automation integration.
-> The virtual reference option does away with grounding rings, which lowers costs in plastic pipes or when potentials are different.
-> Electronics that work with older models (ER 3.4.x) and have a bilingual display, can be rotated for convenient reading, and have a Quick Setup menu for quick installation.
-> Custody transfer approved (OIML R117, MI-005) with exceptional long-term stability for fiscal metering in water, chemicals, and medicines.
Instructions to Use:
- Mount the wall housing on a pipe or wall (with at least 240mm between them for multiple sensors), and attach signal cable A/B (with double or triple shielding) and field current cable C to the sensor, making that the lengths are within the maximum allowed for each conductivity.
- Connect the power source to separate terminals (AC/DC with PE/FE ground) and the inputs and outputs to modular terminals. Check the CG number on the nameplate to make sure the I/O configuration is correct.
- Turn on the power and use the LCD keys for Quick Setup. Enter the sensor GK/GKL constants, establish the flow units, and calibrate the zero/span if necessary. Use HART for remote configuration.
- Check for empty pipes, overrange, or mistakes in the display or protocol; reset counters or limits as needed for ongoing activity.
KROHNE IFC 300 W Manual Guide
Applications
This converter works best with tough flows including slurries, acids, and wastewater with air bubbles. It is very reliable because it has a lot of self-tests and alerts. Benefits include less maintenance thanks to virtual reference and bootstrap cabling for low-conductivity media, as well as lower costs because all sensors work with all systems. Its tough IP67 construction can handle vibrations and temperatures, making it perfect for maritime or industrial settings. This keeps automation systems running longer.
