Description

Bently Nevada 3300/12 Power Supply Module

The Bently Nevada 3300/12 is an AC power supply module for use with the Bently Nevada 3300 Monitoring System only. It is positioned at the extreme left of the rack (Position 1) and converts the raw plant power (115 VAC or 220 VAC) into the exact, regulated DC voltages needed by the system backplane. Its rugged architecture eliminates the need for redundant power supplies in common setups, reducing your rack footprint while yet offering industrial-grade reliability.

Key features of the 3300/12 power supply:

-> Provides reliable, controlled power to up to 12 monitors.

-> Changes 115/220 VAC into DC voltage.

-> Has a line noise filter to cut down on electrical noise.

-> Installation usually goes in the leftmost spot on a 3300 system rack.

-> Small and effective, with a power use of about 1.5 watts.

-> The temperature range for operation is from 0°C to +65°C (32°F to 150°F).

-> Depending on the variant, it weighs between 1.3 to 2 kilograms.

-> The size is about 31 x 5 x 20 cm.

-> Made and designed in the United States.

-> Gives vibration and condition monitoring systems reliable power that is very important.

Bently Nevada 3300/12 AC power supply module for the 3300 Series Monitoring System rack, showing the front panel and status LEDs.

Some variants, like the 3300/12-02-22-00, have an IP67 protection rating, high efficiency (up to 95%), diagnostic LEDs, and meet safety standards like CE and UL. This makes them reliable in tough industrial settings.

This power supply module is necessary for keeping Bently Nevada 3300 series monitoring equipment working reliably in industrial vibration and condition monitoring applications in fields including aerospace, industrial automation, and transportation.

Expert Pro Tips from a Marine Engineer

  1. Monitor the OK Relay: Always wire the OK relay back to your DCS or bridge alarm system. If this module fails, your entire vibration monitoring system goes blind—knowing the moment it happens is critical for preventing unmonitored bearing failures.
  2. Heat Management: While these are convection-cooled, ensure the rack has proper clearance. In cramped engine rooms, heat is the #1 killer of capacitors in power modules.
  3. Jumper Verification: If you are sourcing a spare for a 220V shipboard system but the module was previously used in a 110V plant, always verify the internal jumper and fuse rating before hot-plugging. Plugging a 110V-configured module into 220V will result in immediate hardware damage.
