MAN B&W L28/32H Cylinder Block / Engine Frame for 5L–9L Description:
The L28/32H four-stroke medium-speed marine diesel engine’s main structural part is the cylinder block, also known as the engine frame. It holds the crankshaft, major bearings, cylinder liners, and other upper engine parts. It is designed to be very rigid and perfectly aligned, which means it will have low vibration, good bearing support, and long-term dependability in constant marine and power plant service.
This engine frame works with 5L, 6L, 7L, 8L, and 9L28/32H generator and propulsion sets. This makes it a useful replacement part for many MAN B&W installs. It is usually used to fix engine blocks that are badly worn or broken, to improve older units, or to rebuild used engines that have been recycled from ships or power plants.
