MAN B&W S26MC Cylinder Liner

The MAN B&W S26MC Cylinder Liner is a very precise part that makes sure S26MC two-stroke marine diesel engines run smoothly and last longer in tough maritime conditions.

This cylinder liner, made of high-quality alloyed cast iron, is the most important part of the combustion chamber in MAN B&W S26MC engines with a 260 mm bore and 980 mm stroke. It is suspended in the cylinder frame by a low-flange design and has built-in cooling jackets, scavenge ports, and drilled lubricating holes for better heat dissipation and less wear. It is great for marine propulsion because it can handle engines with up to 4,800 kW in multi-cylinder setups at 250 rpm. This helps save fuel and cut down on pollution.

The S26MC series represents MAN B&W’s super long-stroke, camshaft-controlled two-stroke engines (S for super long stroke, 26 for 260 mm bore, MC for camshaft controlled compact design). Available for 5-12 cylinder models like 5S26MC to 12S26MC, the cylinder liner is optimized for Alpha cylinder lubrication systems, enhancing oil economy to 0.7 g/kWh. It aligns with IMO NOx standards and tropical conditions up to 45°C intake air.
