Solo 330-001 Smoke Aerosol Dispenser

The Solo 330-001 is a custom aerosol dispenser that is used to test the point-type smoke detectors in a ship’s Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS). This equipment lets a controlled amount of test gas get to the detecting chamber, which turns on the photoelectric or ionization sensor without getting dirt on the internal optics. This is not the same as ways to bypass manually. It is the main physical interface for testing loops that are built into marine-certified control panels like the Honeywell Notifier, Consilium Salwico, and Autronica AutroSafe systems.

Equipment must be able to handle high-salinity humidity and constant engine-room harmonics for maritime operations to be safe. The Solo 330-001 has a diaphragm mechanism that works even when there are low-frequency vibrations (5Hz to 50Hz).
