The SF Control LD 100S LevelDatic Multipoint Transmitter is a key feature of the technology used to measure the level of tanks with electricity and air. It is a central system for keeping a check on the ship’s draft, fuel oil tanks, and ballast tanks.
LD 100S changes pneumatic pressure into very accurate electrical signals using the bubble-through method or hydrostatic pressure measurement. This strategy makes sure that all of the electronic pieces are kept in a safe, easy-to-reach place (usually the engine control room or a separate cabinet) and that only strong pneumatic lines are used to connect the tanks. Always ensure your instrument air is dry and oil-free. Even a small amount of moisture can lead to corrosion in the LD 100S pneumatic block or cause ‘slugging’ in the sensing lines, leading to erratic level jumps.
