Description

The Hanla FMS-2H-WS-T is a horizontal float level switch that is located on the side and is made to find point levels. It works on a simple but effective principle: when the liquid level goes up or down, the float moves, which turns on a microswitch with a permanent magnet.

This horizontal float level switch is made to work in marine and industrial settings where there is a lot of vibration, corrosive salt air, and high pressure. -> Orientation is important: Make sure to follow the Top marking on the flange exactly. The float logic will be flipped if it is put upside down, which could cause the tank to overflow.

-> Protection against turbulence: If you’re putting this in a tank that has a lot of agitation (like a mixing tank), I strongly suggest using a stilling well to keep the switch contacts from chattering, which will burn out your pump contactors.

-> Cable Gland Integrity: Always use a brass cable gland that is made for maritime use and make a drip loop in your wire. This stops condensation from flowing down the cable and getting into the switch housing.
