GE IS220UCSAH1A UCSA-H1A Rev H Stand-alone PLC Processor Module

The GE IS220UCSAH1A (UCSA-H1A Rev H) is a very advanced, stand-alone controller module that works with the GE Mark VIe distributed control system (DCS). This PLC processor module is what makes the control platform work. It runs complicated, site-specific application code and keeps track of all the I/O network (IONet) communications that go along with it.

Unlike traditional rack-mounted controllers, the UCSA form factor works on its own and doesn’t need a special backplane. It fits perfectly on a panel baseplate, which cuts down on the amount of hardware needed and gets rid of backplane-related single points of failure. The QNX® Neutrino® real-time operating system runs on a powerful microprocessor in the IS220UCSAH1A. This means that it can run control logic in a way that is always the same, which makes it an important tool for factories that need to be 100% reliable. It works great with the ControlST software suite for setting up, keeping an eye on, and fixing problems.
