IMO LPQ 110 Pump Valve Element G070 – New

  • Brand: IMO AB
  • Model Compatibility: LPQ 110 Series
  • Part Name: Valve Element
  • Part Number (MPN): G070
Description

The IMO LPQ 110 Pump Valve Element G070 is an important part of the LPQ series of three-screw pumps. This part keeps the screw set from becoming too tight by preventing over-pressurization. This is important in marine conditions, where viscosity variations often happen because of temperature changes in Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) or Marine Diesel Oil (MDO). The seating surface is ground to a precise level, which makes sure that there are no leaks and that your IMO LPQ 110 unit works at its best.

This valve element is made for high-pressure fuel and lubricating oil systems. It makes sure that the pump housing stays stable and that the pressure is always right. The G070 element is made of alloys that dont wear out easily, so it can handle the tough demands of continuous maritime and industrial operations.

Applications

  1. Marine Propulsion: Circulation of oil for the main engine’s lubrication.
  2. Power Generation: Modules for transferring fuel oil and boosting stationary diesel engines.
  3. Industrial Hydraulics: Circulation at low pressure in big hydraulic power units (HPUs).
  4. Tank Farm Operations: Putting refined oil products on and taking them off.

Our Engineers Guide:

Chief Engineer’s Note: When overhauling an IMO LPQ 110, many technicians focus solely on the screws and mechanical seals, often overlooking the G070 Valve Element. Over time, the seating surface of the valve element can develop micro-pitting or wire-drawing. This leads to internal recirculation, which drops your discharge pressure and increases oil temperature. Always inspect the G070 for circular wear patterns. If you see a visible step on the cone, replace it immediately to restore the pump’s design curve and prevent cavitation in the idler rotors.
