Tips for Field Rebuilds

1. Never Re-Use Split Collets Replace the split collet (34-506995) with the new component supplied with the kit. Re-using a tired collet might result in mechanical separation under 3,000 PSI structural pressure.
2. Lubrication Protocols: Before installation, clean the inside valve cage with a residue-free solvent. Lubricate the 90 Duro O-rings with the subsea control fluid recommended by the manufacturer or a comparable synthetic lubricant only. Hydrocarbon base greases can cause premature swelling of the elastomers.
3. Check Revision Standards: Ensure your valve body is Rev B or Rev C footprint before torque down. Check the component seating arrangement of the upper and lower stems on your assembly drawing X-1002880-0501.
