Graco Husky 716 D54311 SS Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pump

The Husky 716 D54311 is a 3/4” AODD pump. It is made of strong metal (316 Stainless Steel) and has high quality Ptfe internals. This combination provides long term endurance when used with harsh solvents, detergents and low viscosity oils. The unique bolt-through design eliminates mechanical seals, considerably lowering the chance of dangerous leaks.

This pump is quiet, less than 85 dBa, features a serviceable air valve, and ball checks. The Husky 716 includes a high-tech air end assembly and an external controller that allows you to operate it from a distance.

Installation guide:

1. Air Supply Quality Always use a 5 micron air filter and regulator. The main reasons of pneumatic pump air valve stalling are moisture and debris.
2. Suction lift: This pump is self-priming, but for maximum performance keep the suction line as short as possible. The dry suction lift for D54311 is about 15 ft (4.5 m).
3. Grounding: This is a metal pump and is used in industrial settings thus make sure that the pump is grounded properly to prevent static spark discharge, especially while pumping dangerous chemicals.
4. Muffler Maintenance: If performance decreases, watch for icing or clogging of the muffler. 2 minute fix to replace the silencer. Restores full flow rate.
5. Torque Settings: following the first few hours of operation, re-torque the manifold nuts to ensure that the diaphragms have settled in following thermal expansion.
