Schneider TRV00210 Modbus SL Interface Module 24V DC

The Schneider Electric TRV00210 makes it easy to connect circuit breakers to the Modbus Serial Line. It runs on 24V DC and uses only 21mA of power. This small interface module works with the Compact NSX and Masterpact series and allows for real-time monitoring and control in industrial automation.

TRV00210 is a Modbus SL slave interface for Schneider’s low-voltage protection devices. It lets you connect to screw terminals and speeds up data transfer from 9.6 to 38.4 kbaud. It has Universal Logic Plug (ULP) ports for better communication and may be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail. Even though it was terminated in 2021, it’s still great for legacy systems like marine control panels and industrial substations that need reliable SCADA connection.

How to use:

• Attach to a 35mm DIN rail near appropriate breakers (such the Compact NSX630-3200) and plug in 24V DC power.
• Set the baud rate and address for each system by wiring Modbus SL through screw terminals (D0, D1, and Common).
• Connect ULP RJ45 to breaker modules to keep an eye on things. Check the LEDs to see how much traffic and power there is.
• Before commissioning, test the communication loop and add terminators if it’s the end of the line. Don’t let the pollution level go above 3.
