The Deltabar M PMD55 utilizes a classic internal piezoresistive sensor module isolated behind dual metal membranes. When uneven process forces press against the positive (+) and negative (-) low-pressure sides, the internal fill fluid transfers this mechanical displacement directly onto a silicon control bridge. The resulting change in electrical resistance is translated by the internal electronics chip into a highly linear 4-20 mA current output that is proportional to the raw pressure differential.

 

Maintenance Tips:

-> Manifold Block Integrity: Always use this transmitter in combination with a regular 3 or 5 valve bypass manifold block. When isolating the transmitter for calibration checks or system zero modifications, always open the balancing equalising valve prior to closing the process isolation taps. This approach prevents smashing the interior diaphragm with harmful one sided overpressure surges.

-> Counteracting Shipboard Vibration: In areas subject to significant structural vibration (such as near primary propulsion engines or large auxiliary generator frames), consider distant wall-mounting utilising a conventional 2-inch pipe bracket. Connect the remote body back to the main flow line with flexible high-pressure impulse tubing. This isolates the internal electrical components from high frequency mechanical damage.
