As part of the globally recognized K-Switch family, this model provides a robust “flameproof” enclosure that integrates high-visibility visual signaling with dependable electrical switching, ensuring safety and ATEX/IECEx compliance in hazardous areas.
AVID (a Crane CP&E brand) engineered the K-Switch as a quarter-turn position indicator for hazardous locations worldwide. The KS-017-GE-L variant features a heavy-duty, powder-coated aluminum housing built to withstand chemical processing plants and offshore platforms. It includes Westlock’s signature EasiFix™ Cams, allowing for tool-free switch adjustment that remains secure even under high vibration. The standout feature is the Beacon™ high-visibility indicator, offering a 360-degree reflective display visible from up to 30 meters (100 feet).
