  3. Marine Maintenance: For seawater service, I highly recommend the Nylon-coated disc variant. It significantly reduces barnacle buildup on the sealing surface, extending seat life by up to 40%.
  4. Grease the Stem: Even maintenance-free valves benefit from a dab of marine-grade lithium grease on the top stem once a year to prevent seizing in humid engine rooms.
