When putting the Integra PBI-2.2 in a marine or heavy industrial situation, it’s very important to manage the environment. These devices are tough, but they can’t handle too much vibration or salt spray.

1. Heat Dissipation: Make sure there is at least 50mm of space surrounding the heatsink at all times. Make sure there is forced-air ventilation if you are installing in a sealed NEMA or IP-rated cabinet.
2. Harmonic Considerations: The Integra helps with surges, but it’s always a good idea to verify your local power factor. In marine grids, make sure the unit is connected to a clean power bus so that it doesn’t mess with sensitive navigation equipment.
3. Bypass Contactor: If you want to get the most out of your motor while it’s not optimizing, think about setting up a bypass contactor for when it achieves 100% load for a long time.
