Installation and Maintenance Guide:

Engine Room Tip: Make sure the capillary tube isn’t bent or kinked when you put in the BNS-C1070PL5Q. There should always be a stress loop near the bulb to keep it from breaking from too much vibration.

  1. Calibration Check: During the initial sea trial or industrial run, always use a calibrated thermometer to check the set point. The scale is a guide; the actual temperature of the fluid is the truth.
  2. Wiring: Put ferrules on the ends of your wires. Bare stranded wire will eventually vibrate free or tear in places with a lot of vibration, which will cause signals to come and go.
  3. Placement of the Bulb: To get accurate readings, make sure the sensing bulb is completely in the flow of the medium and not in a dead-leg of the piping.
