BARTEC WAGO 750-625 Power Supply Module 24V DC

Description

BARTEC WAGO 750-625 Power Supply Module: Robust 24V DC Power for Hazardous Marine Environments

The BARTEC WAGO 750-625 serves as the central interface between the non-hazardous and hazardous area elements of a modular I/O system. It offers the necessary galvanic isolation and voltage regulation to supply downstream Ex-i modules. Its plug-and-play DIN-rail architecture fits effortlessly into the WAGO 750 Series, enabling rapid deployment and easy maintenance during dry-dock or mid-voyage repairs.

Features:

  • Power supply that is safe for industrial automation in dangerous places (Zone 2 or non-hazardous)
  • Gives a steady 24V DC output with a maximum current of 1A
  • Safety meets UL E198726, IEC 60079-11, and other standards for protecting against explosions
  • DIN rail mounting with small dimensions: around 48 mm wide, 100 mm deep, and 64 mm high
  • Spring clamp (CAGE CLAMP®) connectors make sure that electrical connections are safe
  • Checks the power supply by using LEDs to show the status of the input and output
  • Built-in electronic fuse that automatically resets after a short circuit or overload
  • Separating the input and output voltages electrically makes the system safer
  • Often used in control systems for petrochemical plants, power plants, and process automation

Pro Tips from the Marine Engineer’s Desk

  1. Check Your Power Budget: Before installation, calculate the sum of the internal current consumption for all downstream Ex-i modules. While the 750-625 is robust, exceeding its 1.0A limit will cause intermittent bus errors that are a nightmare to track down mid-Pacific.
  2. Verify Shielding: Always ensure your DIN rail is properly grounded to the ship’s hull. Intrinsic safety depends entirely on the integrity of your reference ground.
  3. Heat Management: Even though it’s rated for 55°C, try to leave a 5mm air gap between the power supply and non-essential modules to prolong the life of the internal capacitors.
