The MAN B&W S50MC-C, S50MC, and L50MC piston crown is the most important part at the top of two-stroke marine diesel engines with a 500mm bore. Made of steel that can handle high temperatures and pressures, it can handle harsh combustion conditions while making sure that power is transferred efficiently and lasts a long time.
This piston crown has chrome-plated ring grooves and a piston cleaning ring to keep carbon from building up. This helps the engine run at its best in tough marine conditions.
It works perfectly with the MC/MC-C engine family, which makes it great for container ships and bulk carriers. It also needs less maintenance and gets better fuel economy.
