The Allen Bradley 1746-NO4V Ser A SLC 500 Analog Output Module has four separate voltage outputs that can be set between -10 and +10 VDC (-1 LSB). This makes it perfect for connecting PLC logic to actuators, valves, drives, and recorders in process control systems. It uses R-2R ladder DAC technology to make sure that signals are generated quickly and accurately. It has a 14-bit resolution (16-bit two’s complement data format), an update time of 512 µs across all channels, and a step response of 2.5 ms (95%). Non-isolated channels share analog commons inside the device (not connected to the ground), and they have a 500V DC field-to-backplane isolation, a maximum load current of 10 mA/channel, and a maximum load reactance of 1 µF. An LED status indicator shows that the device is working, and it is factory-calibrated so that it can be used right away in harsh industrial environments (0–60°C).
