Installation Details

Mounting and Wiring

Mount the BMXAMO0802 directly onto Modicon X80 racks like BMXXBP0400 or larger using the 20-way connector for backplane communication. Secure with cage, screw, or spring terminal blocks; dimensions fit standard DIN rails (AM1 ED).

Electrical Connections

Wire positive poles (Ix) and common negatives (COMx) per channel; COMx internals connect together, supporting loop-powered devices up to 350 Ω. No external 24 V supply needed—module draws from rack. Ensure 1400 V isolation compliance during setup.

Usage:

1. Set up outputs in EcoStruxure Control Expert program for ranges of 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA, and choose the resolution and fallback options.
2. Watch through the green channel LEDs show proper operation while red shows defects. They can be connected to SCADA for real-time process control.
3. Use in marine technology or automation panels to control valve position, drive speed, or sensor activation.
4. Keep in places with 10% to 95% humidity; if necessary, lower the rating above 2000 m.
