- Always use a stainless steel hold-down spring clip. When Installing the MFT SU22P into an 11-Pin Base in a Marine Control Enclosure Always Use Socket Hold-Down Clips. This mechanically locks the relay onto the base avoiding the chance of micro arcing or contact failure due to engine room resonance.
- LED Diagnostics Check During Maintenance Rounds : Use the inbuilt dual-color LED matrix for rapid troubleshooting. If the green LED is flashing, your supply voltage is good and the time cycle is actively counting down. If the yellow LED is off when the timer has timed out check your external control contacts or output fuse.
- Avoid Contact Arcing with Snubber Circuits When utilising this relay to switch inductive loads, such as big solenoid valves or heavy contactor coils, add an external RC snubber network across the changeover contacts. This decreases back-EMF arcing, maintaining the silver alloy contact tips for millions of additional operations.
