The Honeywell CC-TAOX11 is a redundant analog output input/output termination assembly (IOTA) made for the Experion PKS Series C control system. The 51308353-175 model is designed for mission-critical industrial use and has a strong interface for sixteen 4–20 mA current loops. The CC-TAOX11 (MPN: 51308353-175) is a key part of the Honeywell Series C I/O family and was made to be redundant. - Check the polarity of the wiring before you turn on the power. The CC-TAOX11 features surge protection; however, if the reverse polarity is on for too long and goes beyond 500 mAdc, it can harm the protective diodes.
- Load Optimization: To get the most reliable 4–20 mA signal, make sure the entire loop resistance (including field wiring) is between 250 Ω and 600 Ω. It can tolerate 800 Ω, but remaining in the “sweet spot” keeps the IOTA from getting too hot.
- Redundancy Staging: You can save money by installing the CC-TAOX11 with just one module at first. The system will run in non-redundant mode, and you can add the second module later for “bumpless” redundancy without turning off the loop.
