Our Engineer’s Guide:

  1. Cleanliness Is Key. Servo valves are quite susceptible to contaminations. Maintain your hydraulic fluid in the recommended cleanliness class (ISO 4406 18/16/13 or greater). Use good grade inline filtration to prevent pluggage of the flapper-nozzle orifice.
  2. Pressure from Pilots. Keep your pilot oil supply steady. At startup , check the pilot stage pressure to be at least 10 bar so that the spool is shifted properly to the location you want.
  3. Tuning the electricity. This model is based on offboard electronics, therefore be sure to tune your servo-amplifier correctly for the specific coil resistance (85 $\Omega$) to minimize thermal drift or sluggish response times.
