- Cleanliness Is Key. Servo valves are quite susceptible to contaminations. Maintain your hydraulic fluid in the recommended cleanliness class (ISO 4406 18/16/13 or greater). Use good grade inline filtration to prevent pluggage of the flapper-nozzle orifice.
- Pressure from Pilots. Keep your pilot oil supply steady. At startup , check the pilot stage pressure to be at least 10 bar so that the spool is shifted properly to the location you want.
- Tuning the electricity. This model is based on offboard electronics, therefore be sure to tune your servo-amplifier correctly for the specific coil resistance (85 $\Omega$) to minimize thermal drift or sluggish response times.
