1) Anti-Vibration Checks: On a vessel, vibration is the silent killer of solder joints. Ensure that the module is mounted securely using the original Terasaki standoffs. Check for fretting at the connector pins every six months during your planned maintenance system (PMS) schedule.

2) Thermal Management: The ECD-531 performs best when heat is dissipated effectively. Ensure the control cabinet’s ventilation filters are clean. If you notice any discoloration on the PCB surface (darkening), it’s a sign of localized overheating—investigate the cooling fans immediately.

3) Cleaning Protocols: Never use standard shop air to clean this board. Use contact cleaner (residue-free) and specialized brushes. If the board is exposed to salty air, ensure it is housed in an IP-rated enclosure to prevent tracking between high-voltage traces.
