Trane EX2 Expansion Module 6400-2583-01 Rev B
The Trane EX2 Expansion Module 6400-2583-01 Rev B is a high-performance I/O expansion module that adds more features to the Trane Tracer™ MP580 and MP581 programmable controllers in Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC settings. This module can be installed in the field and adds up to 14 more input/output points (6 universal, 4 binary, and 4 analog). This lets you control Trane air handling units (AHUs) more precisely, including its air conditioning, fans, valves, and sensors.
You can get this EX2 expansion module in Rev B with either a metal or plastic case. It communicates via an IEEE-485 bus (up to 1000 ft / 300 m) and can support up to four modules per Tracer MP580/581 controller. It is great for retrofitting or expanding existing systems because it works with LonTalk and is reliable in industrial settings, which means less maintenance in important places.
