Installation Guide by Our Engineer:

1. Always place the M241 horizontally when installing it in unventilated marine control enclosures. This prevents thermal interlocking. The horizontal orientation allows natural convection currents to cool the unit up to as high as 55°C. If you put it vertically, the airflow is restricted and the highest operating limit is 50°C.
2. Expansion Module Topography When your system deployment needs Modicon TM3 expansion modules, always mount them to the right or above the main logic controller base to provide optimal backplane communication and proper thermal dissipation.
3. Shielding Fast I/O Lines If using the 200 kHz High-Speed Counter (HSC) lines for shaft tachometers or flowmeters, you must utilise shielded twisted pair cabling less than 10 m in length. It is important that you keep these signal lines away from high voltage motor starters to prevent electromagnetic cross-talk.
