- Avoid Cavitation and Water Hammer. Never mount this sensor directly at a 90-degree bend where fluid velocity changes abruptly. Hydraulic spikes can locally exceed 400 bar for a microsecond, fracturing the internal sensing element over time. Use a small pigtail syphon or isolation block if dampening is required.
- Thread Sealing Care. When tightening the sensor into its port, always use the specified copper crush washer or bonded seal. Avoid over-applying Teflon tape; stray threads can shear off inside the block, migrating straight into the micro-orifice of the sensor and throwing off your calibrations completely.
- Grounding is Key. Ensure your cable shielding is grounded only at the control panel end to avoid ground loops, which introduce phantom voltage shifts in your analog PLC inputs.
