- Air Bleeding is Mandatory: Entrained air within the indicator hydraulic line is the primary reason for mechanical pointer drift or clutch slippage. Upon first installation or system open-up, configure a temporary bypass using the emergency hydraulic stand connectors. Flush and circulate the ISO VG oil continuously for at least 40 minutes while cycling the remote valve to thoroughly evacuate all air pockets.
- Microswitch Adjustments: If you are using the optional remote feedback switches, check the upper (SHUT side) and lower (OPEN side) microswitch travel tolerances. Ensure that the actuator cam forces the roller to travel a minimum of 0.5 mm beyond the physical electrical “ON” click and 0.5 mm past the “OFF” position. Use an M3 hex wrench to lock the cam unit securely after fine-tuning.
- Viscosity Monitoring: While the positive displacement system is highly resilient, extreme lacquer buildup or degraded hydraulic fluid will induce micro-slippage within the mechanical friction clutch assembly. Always maintain oil purity according to ISO 4406 cleanliness targets to avoid scoring the close-tolerance oval rotors.
