Installation Guide by Our Engineer:

1. Stable Footing: Always start with a heavy-duty wooden or fiberglass tripod. In marine environments or soft soil, ensure the tripod shoes are driven deep into the substrate to prevent settling errors.
2. Centering: Use the laser plummet for quick positioning over your control point. I recommend a double-check using the optical plummet if you are working in high-vibration areas.
3. Leveling: Level the circular vial first, then use the electronic dual-axis compensator for the plate level. For 1 accuracy, your tilt offset should be as close to zero as possible.
4. Atmospheric Correction: Don’t forget to input the current temperature and pressure. In high-humidity marine zones, the refractive index of air changes, and ignoring this can throw off your EDM by several millimeters over long distances.
5. Collimation Test: Before starting a critical project, perform a quick horizontal and vertical collimation test (Face I and Face II readings) to ensure the internal optics haven’t shifted during transport.
